China Merchants Securities International Company Limited has joined the SMS Sender Registration Scheme implemented by The Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) of the HKSAR Government. All SMS messages sent by the Company and its subsidiaries will use registered SMS sender ID(s) as “#CMSI”. The Scheme is applicable to subscribers of Hong Kong mobile service providers using Hong Kong mobile numbers within Hong Kong only.  

Even if you receive SMS messages with the prefix “#”, you should remain vigilant and not click on any embedded hyperlinks. If you accidentally click on the embedded hyperlinks and are thus redirected to any websites or mobile applications, you should not enter any sensitive or confidential personal information, such as user credentials and OTPs for logging onto your accounts. In addition, our company does not send electronic messages (such as SMS messages and emails) containing hyperlinks which re-direct to website or mobile application for login. As such, genuine SMS message from our company would not contain any embedded hyperlinks.
