TENDER NOTICE

TENDER FOR PROVISION OF NETWORKING INFRASTRUCTURE OF DR SITE RELOCATION PROJECT 

[Tender Ref.:  PT_ITD-2022-010]

1.    Background Information 

CMSI plans to relocate the DR site from current Causeway Bay (CWB) office to a new data center site in Wan Chai, and aims at upgrading the network infrastructure to higher modern technique which is ready for an "Active/Active" Data Centre implementation through a nearly zero down time architecture operating with existing production data center in Tseung Kwan O (TKO).

2.    Scope of Services

The scope is to design a new modern network architecture and new build the infrastructure with supply of specified hardware into the new DR data center site, and expecting the new DR site can fulfil the key business objectives and requirements of CMSI for over the next five years.  Key areas such as network availability, capacity, performance, system redundancy, compatibility, and security that contribute to the overall experience of the network must be included in the new DR site infrastructure design.  The review and design subsequent recommendations should be based on the ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) best practices framework.

After market research and consideration, CMSI considers the brand of Cisco and Checkpoint for new networking equipment to upgrade or replace the existing one, in order to align and consistent with current networking infrastructure and design, and allowing CMSI to easily manage the hardware inventory and maintenance support.

3.    Schedule of Tendering 

The tentative schedule of tender is set out below and any change to the schedule will be confirmed by tender document or e-mail to Tenderers.
