TENDER NOTICE

TENDER FOR NETWORK FIREWALL REPLACEMENT PROJECT FOR Y2024

1.       Background Information 

Upon the IT system developed rapidly and the network performance requiring much higher, it is the time to review and enhance the core network to fulfil the system need and future grow expansion too.

Firewall appliance is one of the core network components that we are planning to revamp the core network firewall architecture in order to not only enhance the processing performance, but also the security examination power.

2.       Scope of Services

As part of the infrastructure overhaul, the Secure Zone and Trusted Zone firewalls will be replaced and consolidated into two sets of Core Zone firewalls for both Production and DR Site, utilizing Check Point technology. The objective of this revamp is to effectively separate trading and OA traffic. This effort will go beyond a simple one-to-one replacement; it will involve reorganizing the interfaces and policies of the existing Secure and Trusted Zone firewalls. Additionally, the UAT zone will undergo a migration and incorporate the existing single unit of DR Check Point with UAT Fortigate firewall to establish a two-tier architecture, replacing the current single box with a dual VDOM design. Careful planning of the migration process is crucial to minimizing the impact on all CMSI systems. Technical expertise and product knowledge will be significant advantages during this migration phase.

In addition to the infrastructure update, we also need to replace a pair of End-of-Life (EoL) Fortinet devices to comply with internal requirements. This HA pair will require a one-to-one replacement, necessitating the migration of configurations and settings from the existing devices to the new models. Expertise in firewall technologies and product knowledge will be essential for this process.

Tenderers must supply Check Point and Fortinet products through authorized channels or must be authorized partners, distributors, or resellers of these brands. Proof of authorization must be included in the tender submission.

3.       Schedule of Tendering

The tentative schedule of tender is set out below and any change to the schedule will be confirmed by tender document or e-mail to Tenderers.
